Gaïa

June 2026 production

Seeing and listening the world differently

Gaïa, meaning “Mother Earth,” explores the bonds that unite us with the environment. Having disrupted its harmony and upset its balance, how can humans inhabit the world with sensitivity? In this contemporary circus production, acrobats, a technician, and a musician navigate the instability of an original, ever-shifting set design to find balance: poetry can then emerge here and there, at any moment. This contemplative narrative invites us to reflect on how we experience a wavering Earth, where threatened nature becomes a threat itself.

By offering a new interpretation of what it means to “make the world,” the Bivouac Company invites us to reflect on our relationship with living things. This production allows us to glimpse the fragile power of a disrupted environment, so that together we can imagine how to experience it with sensitivity.
